This week was exam week for most of my classes. Exams went from Monday-Thursday and then we started fall break. I only had 2 mid-terms this week, since I did one last week and the other will take place after fall break. On Monday I had my drawing on location mid-term. For this, my professor graded all my art, which was about 20 pieces. During my class, we also went to a family owned shop where they made Italian Cameos. Cameos are shells that are carved and engraved to show various images. We got to meet a few of the artist and learn more about how Cameos are made. Then on Tuesday, I had my Marine Biology exam which was about 30 questions, both multiple choice and short answer. After Tuesday, my finals were over, but I did have a presentation for Marine Biology on Thursday to get ready for. However, it was now Wine Wednesday! Which has become a big tradition between my friends and I. Every Wednesday after History of the Mafia, we go to a small market near campus that usually hosts wine tastings. We get a table and order drinks, bread, and cheese. Although it is called Wine Wednesday, I still haven't learned to enjoy wine (I know it's sad). So I usually order a Limoncello Spritz, which is my favorite drink in Italy. The best thing about this market is that pretty much only locals are there, besides the few wine tastings for tourists. It is a super quiet area where we can all just talk and catch up on our week. The drinks are also big and cheap, so that is always a plus. After Wine Wednesday, we usually like to watch a movie, and this time Shrek is what we watched.

When Thursday afternoon came around, it was time for my presentation. I presented on Tsunamis, with two of my friends who presented on Waves and Tides. The presentations went well for everyone, and we were finally able to pack for Fall Break. Fall break was 10 days, and we were going to be traveling to London, Scotland, and Ireland. Normally when you travel from the States, you are able to have a carry-on and personal item, not in Europe and the UK! We were only allowed to bring a small personal item, and it was expensive to pay for a carry-on. During the weekends it was easy to fit 2-3 days of stuff in a backpack, but this time we needed to fit 10, and it had to be winter outfits. Needless to say, our personal items were so stuffed, it was practically a carry-on, but we won't caught! See you soon in London!
